Breaking News: Government Has Abolished ALL Taxes on Big Business

I had received two e-mails last week from War on Want and I do not want you all to almost have a cardiac arrest (because I nearly did) from the first e-mail,so I would do you a favour letting you know that there are two e-mails included in the post. And kindly do not skip reading the second e-mail just after you've been shocked enough after reading the first.
This is the worst situation we have ever been in.If we are not careful,if we do not act NOW,we are going to loose our rights, our public services, our environmental stability, our wildlife and subsequently all that there is on the planet.
The wealth is draining and we just have to be careful, cautious, and active.

The First E-Mail
We’ve just heard some terrible news: the government has set out its plans to abolish ALL tax on business and personal incomes. This will leave the poorest paying the greatest share, whilst the 1% get richer than ever before.  It will devastate our public services.

This ideological attack on our tax system is an assault on all our public services: health, education, and the emergency services. If left unchallenged it will turn the UK into a corporate state that threatens our democracy. We must get the news out and build a movement to demand Tax Justice.
If enough of us take a stand to get the news out, we can let everyone know and stand together for Tax Justice.
Please watch and share this video – we have to get the news out NOW!
The government’s changes to the tax system are not irreversible. It was War on Want supporters like you who first took a stand for a tax on speculative currency transactions. Today 11 European countries including France and Germany are implementing a financial transactions tax - a Robin Hood Tax.
Now we must stand together to demand not just a return to taxes on incomes and business rather than the poorest, but a tax system that delivers Tax Justice: raised progressively, based on ability to pay, and spent according to need.
Thank-you. Everyone who speaks up, will help make our voice louder.
We must Stand Together for Tax Justice,

The Second E-Mail

We hope you enjoyed our spoof video sent this morning about very real threats to tax justice.

The video stretched reality in order to make an impact. Yet it was based on the reality of the direction in which government is heading: ever lower taxes for business at the expense of the poorest in society.

Only this week, the government announced it would pit town against town in a race to the bottom on business rates. They called it localism, but in reality it will mean towns having to compete by lowering taxes to attract business to their area.

At the same time, George Osborne's attack on tax credits will cost up to £1,300 per family, while other welfare cuts are designed to heap pain on the most vulnerable in society.

When tax revenue goes down, essential services such as health and education are cut ever deeper. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Unless we build a people’s movement for Tax Justice, much of what our video showed risks becoming reality.

By sharing this video you are joining our struggle for Tax Justice!

Thank you for your support. Together we’re stronger!
