The September 27, 1975, the city of Vigo and the whole world trembled before the latest death sentences carried out in Europe for political reasons. Five anti-Franco fighters were killed after a sham trial and without the minimum procedural guarantees. Such events hit our city especially because among the five killed, two, Xosé Humberto Baena Alonso and Luis Sanchez Xosé Bravo-Solla were residents of Vigo. Joining them also fell in front of the firing squad Ramon Garcia Sanz, Juan Manotas PAREIS "Txiki" and Angel Otaegui.

It is inexcusable for all duty and all who believe in the need for truth, justice and reparation for the victims of the dictatorship, the memory of this tragic event is not diluted by the passage of time and will not disappear ever from our memory.

Since the September 27 Commission thought it would have a major social impact that the day before the event the cemetery appeared in Faro de Vigo published a death notice, protest, activist and memoirist, serve to hit the consciousness of the people and at the same time , assist them in conducting an exercise in memory and tribute to those who gave their lives fighting against the dictatorship.

El 27 de septiembre de 1975, la ciudad de Vigo y el mundo entero se estremecía delante de las últimas penas de muerte ejecutadas en Europa por motivos políticos. Cinco luchadores antifranquistas eran asesinados luego de unos juicios farsa y sin las más mínimas garantías procesales. Tales hechos golpearon sobre todo a nuestra ciudad porque entre los cinco asesinados, dos, Xosé Humberto Baena Alonso y Xosé Luís Sánchez Bravo-Solla eran vecinos de Vigo. Junto a ellos caían también delante del pelotón de fusilamiento Ramón García Sanz, Juan Paréis Manotas ”Txiki” y Angel Otaegui.

Es un deber inexcusable para todos y todas los que creemos en la necesidad de la verdad, la justicia y la reparación para con las victimas de la dictadura, que el recuerdo de este trágico acontecimiento no se diluya con el paso del tiempo y no desaparezca para siempre de nuestra memoria colectiva.

Desde la Comisión 27 de septiembre pensamos que tendría un gran impacto social que el día anterior al acto del cementerio apareciese publicada en Faro de Vigo una gran esquela, reivindicativa, militante y memorialista, que sirviera para golpear la conciencia del pueblo y, al mismo tiempo, ayudase a realizar un ejercicio de memoria y homenaje a quienes dieron su vida luchando contra la dictadura.
