Autumn Notebook Day 1 Poem ~ 'Prayer'

At around is the time of the year, I would actually want to talk of auburn tones transcending to the cooler blues and greys, the tender endurance of the night stretching itself like ends to an old blanket that unknowingly lulls you in your sleep, of love, of skies, of sorrow and of death and rebirth.

However, as yo would guess, I barely ever have time to write anything outside assignments, study beyond academic texts and eat and sleep for entertainment purposes only. This is a poem I wrote weeks ago and unlike most of the poems that read like they were written by someone else under some weird trance, this does feel like it was written by me and I don't dislike it...yet.

Prayer

Someday the Gods

Upholstered against evenings
And empty skies
That engrave bottomless pits
Of afternooned windows
And circling streets
Filled with robin wings
Dragon tails lurking
In the distance
Gramophones aiding our broken alleys
Will learn to write their prayers.

You could write for us. We have been accepting (many of the) post ideas written to us and a single author for a whole blog for a long time is boring. Kindly use the contact form at the bottom of the page or write to me at titassparkles@gmail.com. You could also share your feedback on the blog!
