We know that fought in the 68th Mixed Brigade of the Popular Army of the Republic, that the withdrawal came to France, which was I stopped by the Nazis, taken to prisoner-of-war camp in Villingen and then to Stalag Strasbourg.

The December 11, 1940 along with other 845 prisoners boarded a train to Mauthausen who arrived two days later. There he left his last known address (Street Face of God Torrubia No. 8 in the field) and the name of his wife (Manuela Barranco).

The March 29, 1941 is sent to the subfield of Gusen, where he died on January 15, 1942. The report states that death occurred at six o'clock because of a "joint rheumatism and valve defect" . For three days his body was piled with others, hoping that would fit into the crematorium, where he was taken on 18 January.
